Does it cost anything to join?
The first 25 counselors list free for good, with a boosted profile included. After that, a listing will cost $1 a month, or $3 for a boosted listing, billed yearly. Nothing is charged today.
Will families see my email or phone number?
No. Your email, phone and social profiles stay private. Families send an introduction request through Tutorcat, and we put you in touch.
Do I need to have studied where I advise?
Families value first-hand experience, so tell us where you studied or worked. Your profile lists the destinations you advise on and where you studied.
Do I have to tell you about commissions?
Yes. If universities or agents pay you commissions or referral fees, you must tell us when you apply.
I counsel and tutor. Do I need two profiles?
No. Choose “Tutor + Counselor” in the form and you’ll have one profile that shows both.
What happens after I apply?
Your form opens as an email to the Tutorcat team. We review every application before listing anyone, and we’ll email you if we need more information.
